MNCC hosts numerous events throughout the year. 
Below is a list of our current events but we are always open to new ideas and suggestions.


Plate to Garden

Plate to Garden, a program of the Minnesota Composting Council, is roughly 20 individual events throughout the metro and outstate area. The largest of these events are MNCC Compost Awareness Day at the
​St. Paul Saints game
in May and the MNCC Compost Giveaway at the Urban Growler in St. Paul.

Defining Compost Workshop

MNCC will hold a workshop in April to take final comments on the draft of the white paper which is being produced by the MNCC. This event will include many of the major players in the composting industry including state, county and city officials; compost operators; soil scientists and MNCC board of directors and members.

MNCC Patron

The MNCC contributes to the advancement of Composting in Minnesota so there is always an opportunity to become an overall patron of the organization to support all our effort, including legislation, research, studies, event development, membership recruitment, and  organizational expansions

Webinars

Through the year we host several webinars ranging from backyard composting to bio char.

Compost Operator's
3-Day Training

Scheduled for July 11-13, this 3-Day training will meet the requirements of the MPCA. It will take place at Mystic Lake Conference Center and SMSC Compost Facility and will include an afternoon equipment demo on July 12. Sponsorship Opportunities include full event, receptions, breakfast, lunch or dinner. Equipment demo. The event location includes adequate space for displays.

Kevin Tritz Memorial Golf Tournament

Minnesota Composting council hosts this
​9-Hole Golf Tournament in August to support the Kevin Tritz Memorial Fund which is managed by the MNCC.

Business Organics Recycling Symposium

MNCC, in partnership with WasteWise is developing a new annual event dedicated to the educate our business in Minnesota to advance the implementation and best practices for businesses interested in learning more about composting and its benefits.
