Find a Compost Site

Compost Site Locator

The MNCC is proud to support an interactive Organics Locator Map now. Created in collaboration with the MPCA, this map will be annually updated to display the Yard Waste Only and Food and Yard Waste sites that are licensed and located throughout the state of Minnesota. By selecting an icon, you will be presented with the site's name, address, phone number, and the type of material it accepts.

To use the map, scroll to the site you are interested in learning more about. If you are unsure which site you would like, select the Near Me icon on the top right of the map and enter the address or zip code you want to search. The default radius is five miles, but this can be adjusted.

Brown Tree Icon = Yard Waste Only Site
Green Apple Core Icon = Food and Yard Waste

Note: Call the site or visit their website to learn if they're open for material drop-offs or if they sell their finished product. Some sites only accept certain types of materials, are only open to residents of their host community, or have limited hours of operation.
