Thank you to all who were able to join our 2022 Annual meeting. We've done a lot in the past year and 2023 looks to be even more action packed and event filled. We couldn't support the composting industry without the help of our members and sponsors. We can't thank you enough!
Please contact the committee chair if you're interested in joining a MNCC committee. |

Understanding the Current Compost QA/QC Systems in Minnesota
Thursday, October 13 | 9 am - Noon
81 People registered (25 people in-person and the rest virtual)
Representatives from various State Agencies (MPCA, MnDOT, DNR, MDA), government agencies, and other stakeholders participated in a discussion of the current statutes, policies and procedures around 'compost' and 'composting'. This was the first of two meetings designed to help increase awareness and understanding of what it means to produce a quality compost product and how policies and procedures currently align (or don't). The discussion provided recognition of opportunities for improvements and changes needed to ensure compost customers receive a quality product for their projects.
The MNCC is developing a white paper to further explore the current conditions and recommendations for changes. A second meeting will be held in Summer 2023.
