The Minnesota Composting Council (MNCC) works hard to assist in the development, expansion and promotion of organics collection programs and the composting industry.

With your support, the MNCC will continue to:
  • Expand training and webinars for composters, educators and compost users
  • Advance industry research and development through the Kevin Tritz Memorial Fund
  • Push legislative priorities and advocacy efforts for the industry like:
    • Compostable Product Labeling Bill introduced in the 2021 session
    • Comments to the MPCA draft PFAS Monitoring Plan
  • Help close the loop and get compost back to residents through our community fundraiser Plate to Garden Compost program
  • Address issues affecting the industry
  • Increase knowledge, awareness and use of compost by everyone including residents, gardeners, landscape architects, and engineers
  • Compile and share research, best practices, and educational materials for collection programs, composting operations and compost use
